Mr. French! oh yes, my sister and I watched this show all the time. Funny, though, I don’t remember big sis Cissy.

Its so funny to me because I cannot stand Westerns, but they loved the show.

I love it!!! Sir Bastard Cabinet. Its great!!!! I bet your Mom did not correct because she did get such a kick out of it. I loved that show, and the twins also got on my nerves, and I thought Mrs. Beasley was an ugly doll, but loved Cissy, Uncle Bill and Sir Bastard Cabinet. I loved his accent and the apt. was so nice. I don’t remember fracturing a celebrity’s name, but my parents loved Gunsmoke, and there was a character that always said, “Gee Marshall Dillon” with a deep Southern drawl. My Dad was born in North Carolina, but having left home at a very young age, educating himself in fluent German, some Italian and some French, he prided himself in do the fact that he had no Southern accent. I always loved doing voices and dialects, and although I was little, I used to mimic this character (I am sure my Mom encouraged this to tease my father) It progressed to a level that I am now sure, was completely annoying. A little brat running around saying “Gee Marshall Dillon” in that exaggerated Southern drawl, right up close in Dad’s face just to annoy him. My mother just laughed and laughed, and eventually i was no longer allowed to watch Gunsmoke!

I wasn’t a child when this show was on but loved it anyway. Probably more for lusting after that apartment, since we were living in much simpler digs we could barely afford in NY. This wasn’t my first intro to Sir Bastard Cabinet (now that will forever be in my brain) because he did have a pretty long career. Lots of voice-over work including Winnie the Pooh episodes for Disney!

Anyway… I digress… love this post and yes you are such a very lucky girl!

Vulva… thought I was the only one that thought of a certain car that way. lol

I loved this show!!! I loved Cissy’s clothes and that kickass apartment. I detested Mrs. Beasley, though – not to mention how Jody pronounced ‘Uncle Beeeeee-ill…’ made me want to peddle my Stingray all the way to Los Angeles and gouge his seven-year-old eyes right outta him. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE the name you gave Sebastian Cabot! Reminds me of how, when we were kids, we called the neighbor’s call a Vulva. Aw… who am I kidding. I STILL do that! xos
